Arrivée à Windhoek, Namibie

Salut tout le monde,

Ca y est je suis arrivé à Windhoek, capitale de la Namibie. Je vous passe les détails du trajet... juste un réveil à 05h30 histoire d'avoir le temps de préparer mon paquetage, départ de Maun à 08h30, arrivée à Windhoeok à 23h00. Tempêtes tropicales, bus africains, 4 changements en tous... je ne décris pas tout, c'était juste extraordinaire. Un autre monde...

Ca y est, maintenant je suis accompagné des mes compagnons de route français. Nous logeons au Chameleon backpacker, qui est un espèce d'hotel-camping où les gens vivent plus ou moins en communauté. C'est très sympa, et au moins il y a du monde! Pas comme à Maun.

Aujourd'hui, on a donné nos premiers CV's aux compagnies locales. L'ambiance sur l'aéroport n'a rien à voir avec Maun, là encore. Les gens sont 10 fois plus sympa, l'atmosphère est relax. Et les chefs pilote prennent les CV au moins. On a réussi également à discuter avec un groupe de pilotes, très sympas.

Voilà, donc demain direction Swakopmund pour continuer à déposer des CV dans les compagnies d'avion-taxi. Flyinglion, si tu lis ce message, check tes MP sur aéronet ;-).

I arrived in Windhoek yesterday night. I don't describe the transportation from Maun to Windhoek. All I can say is that it was very funny (departure: 0830 am; arrival: 1100 pm).

I'm now with a friend of mine and his girlfriend. Today, we went to the airport. The atmosphere is very different from Maun. All the chief pilots we talked to took our CV's. Most odf them told us they were not recruiting at the moment, but they never when they need one pilote to fill a position. I think I'm gonna stay here in Namibia for a while, I'm really enjoying the relaxed atmosphere. And there are even more aeroplanes at Eros airport than at Maun, and biggest ones (I saw some B1900, Piper chieftains, ...).

Tomorrow, we go to Swakopmund to give some more CV's. After that, I think i'll stick around here in Windhok, and keep on going back to the airport to socialize with the pilots.

Sorry, I haven't written much lately, I was in the african buses!
